There is also the Rainforest Foundation, set up by the famous musician Sting and his wife Trudie Styler in 1989. This came about after they witnessed for themselves the catastrophic destruction of the Amazon rainforests, and the devastating affect it had on the Indeginous people, and animals  who live within them.
